Improving Church Operations with Backend Support
Client Description
Abundant Grace Church, led by Pastor Steve Hannett, is a church in Rutherford, NJ made up of many house churches. They take early church principles and deliver them with a modern experience, with intimate, community-based gatherings.
While they were already using Planning Center, the Abundant Grace team knew the platform had much more potential to centralize their church’s operations. They have a big vision to impact their region, and they needed backend systems that could help support the vision. As a part of a massive project to improve their church brand and systems, we were tasked with helping them set up their entire Planning Center account. The goal: improve their workflows, follow-up systems, service scheduling, house church management, and more.
We worked closely with them to discover and define their unique ministry needs, expectations, and desired outcomes. We started by setting up PCO People with the necessary forms and workflows to replace old forms that couldn’t work for their automation needs. These forms were connected to their new website (designed by us) via embed, as well as to Clearstream (our recommended church texting platform) and MailerLite (our recommended email platform) via integrations. This streamlined their guest follow-up systems with a combination of automated texts, emails, and team member notifications for task management. We were even able to improve their digital connect card process so all programs work synergistically.
We continued their Planning Center buildout ny setting up their service templates and training them on how they can best use PCO Services to schedule and coordinate their Sunday teams. Soon after, we helped them set up their online directory for house churches using the group management functionality of PCO Groups. Week after week, we helped them develop their Planning Center, building with them every step of the way. Their teams are excited about their upgraded efficiency, services run smoothly, and they’re currently having the most well-attended Sundays they’ve ever had!
